Game Controller for iPhone/iPod Touch: GameBone
All iPhone games are controlled either by touchscreen or accelerometer, then why would one need a game controller, right? Actually no, some of the iPhone games are so difficult to play with touch or gesture, that one would rather die than playing those games without a controller and that is why we are writing about GameBone.
Last year in June we read about a game controller for iPhone called GameBone Pro, developed by an Australian hardware company named 22moo. The controller did not received much appreciation and developers just went underground for sometime to release its much improved version named GameBone. GameBone does not look like a bone anymore and has a smaller footprint from its previous version.

GameBone has eight-directional D-Pad and four face buttons. GameBone also has stereo speakers, Omni-directional MIC, and it runs on a Lithium-ion battery. Unlike GameBone Pro, GameBone does not have bluetooth and shoulder buttons. These buttons are replaced by a kickstand, battery indicator, and Apple authentication, which means that it is compatible with non-jailbroken iPhones.
The good news for GameBone is that, Manomio, developer of Commodore 64, has already announced that its upcoming title Amiga will support GameBone.
Developers of GameBone are also promising a version for iPad as well. For GameBone we have to wait till the last quarter of 2010. On papers GameBone definitely looks better than GameBone Pro, and hopefully will do better.
