Backup Cydia Apps, Backup Jailbroken Apps
The number of Cydia apps is increasing every passing day, so if you have to restore your iPod Touch/iPhone for some reason or have upgraded your iPod Touch/iPhone to newer firmware, you would lose all your Cydia Apps and have to install them again one by one. There is a simple way to avoid it by backing up your Cydia Apps by using AptBackup available for free at Cydia.
How to Backup Cydia Apps, Jailbroken Apps
- Open Up Cydia
- Search AptBackup, Install –> Confirm ( its in big boss Cydia Repo)
- Exit Cydia, Run AptBackup
- Click on Backup
- Sync your iPhone/iPod Touch with iTunes
- List of Cydia Apps will be backed up in iTunes, however it will not save any app settings
How to Restore Cydia Apps, Jailbroken Apps
- After restoring/upgrading/jailbreaking your iPod Touch/iPhone
- Install AptBackup again and this time use the Restore function
- The app will reinstall the Cydia apps packages in one step
