American users who visit Google.com with their iPod or iPod, will not be redirected to a new site. Tabs at the top take users to Gmail, Calendar, Reader and “More” (docs, sms, goog-411, news, photos, blogger and notebook). It’s basically the core of Google services, accessible from your iPod Touch.

I haven’t had the chance to test this myself, since I’m currently living in Europe. I neither have information on when it will be accessible for us europeans.
