VoIP Application for iPad: Truphone
Truphone application is the first VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) accepted at the iPad App Store, with Truphone App for iPad you can make VoIP calls using the Wi-Fi, It could also be possible to make calls over 3G on the select iPad models, but it has not been confirmed as of now.
The application also provides a combined IM and Truphone contacts showing online status along with multi-chat Instant Messenger interface for Google Talk, AIM and MSN users, so that users can stay on top of their contacts list without opening multiple chat windows.

The idea of making calls from the iPad is so futuristic and for me Freephoo makes it come alive. I have kind of become fan of this voip app as its simple, quick, voice is pretty clear and calls between frephoo users are free. They even have a premium pack for all those who want to call up land or mobile numbers in other countries.
