How to Disable Ads in Cydia and Load Cydia Faster
If you have slow internet speed or using limited data plan on your iPhone/iPod Touch, then you must be searching for a way to either disable ads in Cydia or loading Cydia faster. Now, you can accomplish both these tasks by following this tutorial.
- Plug-in your iPhone/iPod Touch to computer.
- Go to /Applications/ Cydia.app/ by SSHing.
- Copy-paste package.js on your computer.
- Open package.js in Notepad.
- Press Ctrl + H, and fill the Find what & Replace with sections as shown in figure.
- Click Replace.
- Now save this file.
- Again go to /Application/ Cydia.app/.
- Replace package.js with package.js on your computer.
- Restart iPhone/iPod Touch.
Now, next time Cydia will open faster than you have thought, and yes, bye-bye to ads from Google and Fastclick. Enjoy!
