Installous on iPad

I installed it on mine but for some reason all the icons of installed apps are just a gray box. There’s no actual picture or icon or anything. It’s just a stylized gray square. The apps work perfect but just no icon on the springboard. Does anyone know why? On my iPhone on 3.1.3 it works perfect, not sure what is wrong here?

That problem has been fixed with the new revision of installous, just uninstall installous from your iPad, restart and install it again from cydia, your problem will be solved

I had the same problem, and Tim’s solution didn’t work for me. Here’s what works: Sync with iTunes to import the apps into iTunes. Then uncheck the apps from iPad in iTunes and sync again to remove them from iPad. Then recheck the apps and sync with iTunes again. Voila, all apps look as they should.

This source does not seem to be working any more. I have tried to add this source a few times on the iPad. On the iPhone it is still working. Any help would be greatly helpful.

This is the error I receive.

Did not Find Repository
The indicated repository could not be found. This could be because you are trying to add a legacy installer repository (These are not Supported). Also, this interface is only capable of working with exact repository URLs.

Please tell me what I am missing.

Guys if you are having problem with the new source, let me explain it to you.

If you have jailbroken your ipad with Spirit newer version then you must be facing this problem, I was on older version but i recently updated to spirit latest version and source the has stopped working, but the installed files and installous source is working.

so if you guys have the older spirit.exe setup then jailbreak it again and your problem will be solved.

Also will I need to restore and do the spirit jb again?

I was already using the latest Installous, but I tried the method of syncing to iTunes deleting reinstalling and that worked.

Hey, I’ve just jailbroken using spirit, added your repo and downloaded installous, but its still running in the iphone size and i cant see the IPAD section for apps… What am i doing wrong. Thanks…

I am still having the gray box problem after I install apps from Installous!

I tried to follow the instructions from above but where do I find my apps in itunes from the ipad? I can not figure out how to do this…and yes this is my first Apple product.

hey guys i got a iphone 3gs 32 gig and i have it jail broken with spirit yet i cant find instalous any ideas

I jail break with Sprit and I downloaded lates version of Installous, I down loadded Apps and installed it but, none of Apps are appear on Home Screen. Not even showing as Grey Icon…. Need Help…what is going on here?

I have an iPad which I have jailbroken using Spirit and have Installous running.

The first batch of apps I downloaded using Installous worked fine and when I plugged the iPad into my computer they transferred across to itunes fine.
They continue to work fine.

In the last few days, however, any apps I have installed using Installous get wiped by iTunes when I try to sync. Taking all the data with them,

Ok .. me thinks i have found the answer….

we are all installing Appsync 3.2 .. yeah?

what we / i didn’t realise is that the nice peeps at installous have already done this for us in ‘settings’ so just remove appsync 3.2 and stop the conflict

I have tried to remove just appsync 3.2 though cydia but once I do that it also uninstalls Installous.

i have an ipod touch 2g and udated 4.0 and i installed installous and when i install the apps from it it wont go to my home page it just says to install it

I have jail broken my iPad 4.2.1 and I have installed the source for installous but for some reason it wont let me install the actual app installous. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this let me know

guyz i had this problem of teethered jailbreak of mc models but came across wid greenpoisen which is unteethered version..works gr8..nd now to the main question i jailbreaked firmware 4.1 of itouch 3g ..nd was getting same error u guyz mentioning tried it for 5-6 times then there was hackolous written over my sources i opened it nd there was dis gr8 ap installous so downloaded now every thing works like wonder..it was pleasure to share my experience i hope u guyz will also get it …arjan
