iPed: Chinese Version of iPad

Chinese people are known for copying popular electronic items. They did this with iPhone, and now they are at it again with iPad. According to a news report from TBS, this new Chinese product is named as iPed. However, its instruction manual reads APad, but that doesn’t really matter. What matters is the pricing and specs of this Chinese counterpart.

iPed runs on Intel chip, while Android is used as the operating system. Look-wise, iPed is pretty much similar to iPad, with a little bit of added weight. The most noticeable thing with the Chinese products is their pricing. While iPad is priced at ¥48,800 ($536), iPed is selling at just ¥9,600 (US$105).
