Free Upgrade your iPod Touch to iOS 4

Download iOS 4 for your respective Device from above links
Open iTunes and connect your iPhone/iPod Touch
Press Select and click Update button to upgrade offline
Open respective iOS firmware file downloaded in first step
iTunes will now upgrade your iPhone/iPod Touch

im so confused-does downloading the 4.0 jailbreak mean u dont have to un jailbreak? i have a jailbroken ipod touch 3g 32gb and i want 4.0 but don’t i have to first resstore to unbroken state??

you can directly upgrade your jailbroken iPod Touch 3G to iOS4 using the steps given above, You will loose the jailbreak functionality and you have to jailbreak OS 4 again.

please note that jailbreak for iPod Touch 3g on OS 4.0 is not available yet and you might have to wait for a few days.
