Consumer Reports Tests and Confirms iPhone 4 Reception Issue [Test Video]
Here is another bad news for Apple fan-boys. Consumer Reports has recently got their hands on iPhone 4, and they tested it for the much talked about iPhone 4 reception issue.
They tested the reception quality of 3 different iPhone 4 in a controlled environment, where they isolated the room from outer disturbances (radio signals). They used emulator to have a look at the signal strength, which confirmed that reception issue is a design flaw rather than a software bug. However, they have found that covering iPhone 4 antenna with duct tape or a thick non-conductive materials solves the issue, but it is not a permanent fix. Hence, Consumer Reports is not suggesting iPhone 4.

Apple has reacted pretty quickly to this report, and is already busy in deleting threads, related to Consumer Reports test of iPhone 4, from Apple support forum. It would have been better if Apple would have shown same urgency in solving reception issue.
