Bartab: Buy People Drink via Text or Facebook for $1 [Free App]
You must be familiar with the Facebook app which lets you buy a virtual beer to your friend. But now you can also offer real beer to your friends via texting or via Facebook.
Bartab actually allows you to buy a drink coupon for $1, which can be sent to your friend. Then your friend will show that text to bartender, and redeem their drink. This service is also available in some saloons as well. But unfortunately, this app currently works only in San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles, however, developers promised to add more cities in the future.
And yes, you can also buy a drink for yourself for just $1, which generally costs $2.

SENDING
- Select friends or yourself.
- Pick a drink.
- Pay $1 per drink sent.
- Drink will be posted to drink recipient’s wall.
REDEEMING
1. Once you have received your Bartab drink, head to the bar to redeem.
2. When ready, press redeem drink, show iPhone screen to bartender within 5 minutes. Pay $1. Enjoy!
