Apple Released iOS 4.1 for iPhone & iPod Touch [Download]
At the start of this month Apple announced iOS 4.1, which will bring some major updates in the firmware, like proximity sensor fix, bluetooth, and slow performance on iPhone 3G. This new update will also bring some new features with it, which we have already discussed earlier.
iOS 4.1 has some exciting features, but if you rely upon jailbreak and unlock, then it is advised to stay away from this update till a compatible jailbreaking and unlocking tool is launched. Yes, you guessed it right, iOS 4.1 comes with a baseband update as well. Fortunately, you can preserve your baseband by using Tiny Umbrella, and then unlock it later when unlock for iOS 4.1 is released.
