Bootrom Exploit found in iOS 4.1, Jailbreak is on Its Way

iPhone Dev Team’s MuscleNerd has made a very exciting announcement, a hacker named pod2g has found a bootrom exploit in iOS 4.1, which can be used to develop a jailbreak for the same. Since, this jailbreak will be based on bootrom exploit, so it will be a “lifetime” jailbreak for iOS 4.1.

There are no words about the release date yet, which is understood because pod2g just found the exploit, and the main development process will start now. Looking at the current scenario, it can be speculated that this jailbreak will be released sometime at the end of October or in the start November. That means, somewhere near iOS 4.2 release date. Till that time, just stay away from iOS 4.1.
