How to Install .deb files on iPod Touch/iPhone
If you want to manually install the application files of .dba extension than this mini guide will help you a lot, first you will need do set up SSH for your iPod Touch and SBsettings( to quickly check if SSH is running on the device), now you are ready to transfer the .deb app file to your iPod Touch/iPhone. I’ve tested this on OS 3.0 and it works perfectly.
Step by step instructions to install .deb files:
- Open WinSCP see (SSH Tutorial above) and login to your iPod Touch/iPhone
- Put your .deb application file in the tmp folder
- In WinSCP hold Ctrl and press T, go forward with the warnings and type this command
- dpkg -i /tmp/myapp.deb
- Installation of the file will start
- Now respring your iPod Touch/iPhone

I hat do install open ssh twice and a few ipod restarts in between but all in all its perfekt
So when i try this i open terminal and it says “Current SFTP-3 connection does not support the command you request. Separate shell session may be open to process the command.Do you want to open separate shell session?
