GeoHot has recently updated the all-in-one jailbreaking Blackra1n software, it has been progressed to Release Candidate 2, the latest version fixes 3G issues, Icy issues and can be used for a tethered jailbreak of iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3.1 OoTB, however if you have used the previous release with success then you can skip this. Blackra1n RC2 is available for a free download and can be run on both Windows and Mac.

i have an iphone 3G that’s already jail broken , but still on OS 3, since i am dependent on using PDA net/USB tethering .
works great but the problem with OS 3 is that your wifi is so problematic it’s really useless.
i hope this blackrain can really bump me up to 3.1xx without disabling my tethering !
I tried this software but everytime my wifi never works for my ipod touch 3rd generation 32gb, and then when i turn it on again I’m in the itunes freeze mode, I have to then restore to the itunes 3.12 software
and other better jailbreak software out there that works, no wifi need, my wifi don;t work and is on 1 min and off the next min
Is that possible to use Blackra1n for OS 3.1.2 in 1st generation Ipod touch…? Please let me know If any one have any idea about this. When I tried It is showing Successful but I’m not able to see the Blackra1n Application in my Ipod.
