Pocket Creatures: Open World Pet Sim for iPhone/iPod Touch
There have been so many pet Sims for iPhone/iPod Touch, but no one impressed us like Pocket Creatures did. This pet Sim is developed by Asbjoern Soendegaard, who was the development manager on Crysis, and now he is the founder & CEO of Tactile Entertainment.
Pocket Creatures looks very involving & interesting, it starts with the hatching of an egg in a tropical island, from which comes out your pet creature. Now its upon you to teach him the difference between good and bad, help him in creating a magical garden (yes, this game has that magical touch as well), his looks can be changed by earning some achievements points.
Game uses many different gestures like rubbing on screen depicts love/affection for your creature, while swiping across the screen will slap him. If you feed him a banana and then slap him, then this way he will learn to hate bananas and avoid them in the future. Various objects and tools can be combined like seeds, water and manure can be used to grow a plant.
Behavior of your creature also affects his surroundings, and his actions makes impact on the island. Your creature earns achievement points, which can be used further to change his looks, such as getting horns & wings, jewelry, etc.
Pocket Creatures is in pre-beta at the moment, so the video does not show the final visuals. It is expected to release within two months. So don’t forget to checkout iTunes AppStore, if you like to play pet Sims.
