Opera Mini Coming Soon for iPhone/iPod Touch
According to CNN, Norwegian company Opera is ready to launch Opera Mini browser for iPhone/iPod Touch which could might be just weeks away from its release date.
As far as release date is concerned, Opera spokesperson Thomas Ford said “I can’t positively say the time frame, but I can say it’s very soon.” He added “I wouldn’t say we’re trying to back Apple into a corner, we feel that we’re very much following their rules.”
Opera is famous for making fast browsers for different platforms, and company claim Opera Mini for iPhone to be around 6 times faster than Apple’s Safari browser.
Opera showcased their browser at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month, and it rendered webpages around 90% smaller, which decreased page loading time. Now we will see that whether Apple will approve Opera Mini or not.
