Listen to Songs While Being Offline: Rhapsody[ Coming Soon on iPhone/iPod Touch]
At the South by Southwest (SXSW) technology and music festival at Austin, Texas, subscription based music service company Rhapsody announced that a new version of their app will be released for iPhone/iPod Touch users, which will allow users to download songs for as long as they are subscribed to Rhapsody.
Rhapsody will let you create your own playlist, allows you to download songs via 3G/Edge/Wi-Fi connections, after that you can listen to your playlist even when you are offline. This is a nice trick, as listening music offline will save a lot of battery power, and even reduce the frustration of poor or no signal quality.
And yes, Rhapsody will also be launched for Android users as well. Rhapsody has a huge collection of music with over 6 million songs to download. The app is in final stages now, so expect it to release very soon. However, you need to pay $15 per month for using this service (after that all downloads are free).
