Apple iPhone 4 Features
There were so many names given to the next-gen iPhone. Now, Apple has officially announced it at WWDC 2010, and iPhone 4 is the name given to the fourth generation iPhone.
The new iPhone looks similar to the one we saw at Gizmodo. In short, it looks beautiful, just like any other Apple product, and has the best hardware when compared to all previous generation of iPhones. iPhone 4 runs on A4 chip, and comes in 16GB and 32GB models. Steve Jobs said that it is just 9.3 mm thick, which means it is the thinnest Smartphone on earth.
Here are the key features of the iPhone 4:
1. 3.5 inch scratch resistant touchscreen with IPS panel, with 800:1 contrast ratio and 960×640 resolution (Retina display).
2. Front facing camera, with video chat feature.
3. 5MP camera with LED flash and 5X digital zoom, which can capture 720p videos @ 30 fps.
4. Dual mics for better noise cancellation.
5. Supports Wi-Fi 802.11n.
6. Talktime: 7 Hrs (3G) and Standby time: 300 hrs.
7. 3G browsing: 6 Hrs and Wi-Fi browsing: 10 hrs.
8. Music playback: 40 Hrs and Video playback: 10 Hrs.
9. Accelerometer, GPS, Compass, and Gyro meter.
10. Supports Micro-SIM.
With the announcement of iPhone 4, Apple has also announced that they will discontinue the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS models. However, an 8GB model of iPhone 3GS will be made available for just $99.
