Novothink Solar Surge: Solar Charging Case for iPhone & iPod Touch
These beautiful & vibrant looking cases for iPod Touch & iPhone are tagged as the “World’s only Apple-certified solar charger carrying case”. These cases are named as Solar Surge, and are developed by a company named Novothink.
Solar Surge actually charges your iPod Touch/iPhone By harvesting solar energy, which is not just eco friendly but also charges your iDevice when you are outside. So if you are planning for a holiday at some beach then you might want to try Solar Surge.
Novothink says that 2 hours of direct sunlight provides 30 minutes of talk time on 3G & 60 minutes of talk time on 2G network, which sounds very good. But what if sun doesn’t show up? Then you can use the included USB cable to charge its Li-ion(Lithium-ion) polymer battery.
These cases also have LED indicators to let you know the amount of battery left, while other indicators tells you whether there is enough sunlight available or not. Novothink also provides an app called Solar Planner, which tells you the amount of time required to chare your iDevice by looking at the weather conditions.
These casings are available in 6 colors. The cost for Solar Surge for iPhone is $79.95, while the iPod Touch version costs $52.95. For further information on Solar Surge or to buy it click here.
