How to Access Yahoo Messenger, MSN, AIM, Gtalk, ICQ on iPod Touch
Apart from Meebo which is a online messenger service, today i will review a free app Nimbuzz for all your IM chats, Messenger needs for iPod Touch. With Nimbuzz you can have your Yahoo messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Gtalk, AIM, ICQ and a lot more IM services on your iPod Touch. The interface of Nimbuzz is simple and supports landscape typing.
iPod Touch Messenger App Nimbuzz Service Review:
- To be able to use your IM you will have to first register with Nimbuzz, registration is super simple and very easy. I would suggest you to register online by clicking on this link , though you can register via iPod Touch but in my case it wasn’t successful and on the other hand web registration was super quick( took me 10 seconds), you don’t even need to verify email in any case.
After registration open Nimbuzz app on your iPod Touch, if you have not installed it yet, search via iTunes and download, its a free app.
- Login with the username and password with which you registered at Nimbuzz, Tapping at the communities button will show a list of messenger services( Yahoo, AIM, MSN, Skype, Gtalk etc) supported by Nimbuzz.
Just Select your favorite messenger for IM and provide login details, after you have logged in tap on Contacts button, here you can chat with your online friends on your iPod Touch. I tried Yahoo Messenger text IMs on iPod Touch and it worked flawlessly. You can also make free calls as it supports VoIP calls but you have to use mic supported earphones( only iPod Touch 2G supports ext. microphone)
