Definitive resource for VoIP on iPod Touch

The desire to turn the cheaper iPod Touch into an iPhone is surprisingly common. For those only interested in the occasion phone call and using WiFi to do so (rather than a cell network), a VoIP solution would suit you. I’ve managed to stumble on a really useful webpage that gives you all the possible information you need to enable VoIP on an iPod Touch thanks to LifeHacker.
There are various ip-based services for voice, video and data communications now, so you could do all of your mobile communications over wireless networks with a little creativity. I only recently mentioned a service for sending SMS messages with ipTexter. Cell networks do remain expensive when it comes to calls and SMS messages, so free alternatives using free WiFi hotspots is an interesting way to save money.
