So I downloaded RedSn0w 0.71 but when I try to install it, it opens up LimeWire but it says theres no sources to download from? What should I do?

Actually, nevermind I realized that I wasn’t even downloading the latest version.

During the jailbreak process by redsn0w 0.72, then browse for FW file, then resn0w connect to network after disappear! What is the matter? Does the jailbreak server busy?

everything work until the redsnow stops working an my ipod says downloading jailbreak data

download redsn0w-win_0.7.1 then download 3.0 firmware for itouch once downloaded open redsn0w click browse click on 3.0 firmware then it will jailbreak.

I go to itunes but cant find the 3.0 I downloaded it from itunes

When I jailbroke it itryed using cydia and I goterror messages when I tryed to download anything. It told me cydia didn’t know which version it was running and icy don’t work either I don’t know what to do

so i downloaded the new 3.0 firmware and also jail broke with redsnow on my ipod touch and it worked great for about 4 days i then was having problems picking up network connections and read that i needed to put it in recovery mode and start over s i did connected it to my macbook turned my back for 2 mins came back and my itouch was black screen, after i waited to see if it would turn its self back on with the apple i noticed that itunes was not recognizing it at all. went to terminal but no devises were present. Have not been able to turn it back on since, tried ever way for rebooting, on button home button different amounts of time lengths but still nothing what did I do and how do I fix it?

Does redsnow version 0.7.2 work also i think it’s the new version

wow!! my computer is taking forever to jailbreak my ipod. it just says uploading ram disk… whatever that means. this process is frozen or something. any suggestions?

Is there a way to restore an Ipod touch 2nd gen. to factory after you jail break it? or are you pretty much screwed?

To restore just go into itunes and click restore ipod. It will load back 3.0 and the jailbreak will be removed. Simple!

I followed all the steps but Redsn0w.exe wont recognize same the firwmare i used to update the ipod.

for any one new doing this instead of goin to restore go to update and it wont deleted your files…..wish i new this before i did mine but then i tried it with my bros and it work fine and he had all of his shit…

Do you have to have iTunes 8.02 to do the Jailbreak? Because I have iTunes 9.02
