Apple Releases new 32GB iPod Touch

32GB iPod Touch

Apple has just announced a new version of the iPod Touch, namely the 32GB model. Finally a capacity that would hold my whole music collection rather than just a portion of it. However, the newly released iPhone has a maximum capacity of just 16GB. It’s safe to assume that we’ll be seeing a larger version of the iPhone in the near future.

The new 32GB iPod Touch is priced at an eye-watering $499, and is available in the UK at an unsurprisingly more expensive £329 (about another $140 more than the US version).

There are buyers wanting to swap their marginally slightly older versions for the new versions, and Apple has a 14 day returns policy with a 10% restocking fee. So it would work out more expensive to send it back to get the latest version, and with a 2x or 4x jump in storage capacity, it might be worth it. I’m going to wait for the higher capacity iPhones, for when they get to around 50GB. It might even be nice for them to be 100% unlocked too.
