BluEye Bluetooth iPod Connection Device
It’s not that often that a Bluetooth gadget impresses me, but I’m impressed by the BluEye Bluetooth iPod gadget (BlueEye on Amazon.co.uk, and the equivalent on Amazon.com). It’s main use is to remove the need to use your mobile phone whilst you are listening to music on your iPod. When you get a call on your mobile phone, your music is paused and you can answer the call using these iPod headphones!
If you regularly listen to music on your iPod, then you can answer your cellphone calls without having to fumble around for the phone itself. Once the mobile has been paired with the iPod remote, you can answer and make calls directly through your iPod instead. The BluEye connection gadget also features an iPod remote control, so you can leave your iPod tucked away in your pocket and change tracks using the buttons on the remote. And if those features aren’t enough, it also includes an FM radio receiver so that you can listen to your favourite radio stations too!
It’s a full-featured device, and compared to other Bluetooth gadgets, the cost of about £40 is about right. Strangely its more expensive in the US, costing around $90!

Yeah, much cheaper, but it doesn’t say. Might be worth firing off an email to the company to clarify.
It works with the iPod Touch, but you don’t get to see the numbers of incoming callers, which limits your ability to use the callback feature. But you can
.. pair it with a bluetooth phone,
.. answer calls in handsfree-mode (the microphone is much better than the typical bluetooth hands-free headset,
..use the radio (really good reception compared with other small radios lacking external antennas I have tried),
All-in-all, a good way to add FM radio capability to an iPod, especially considering Apple’s own radio add-on doesn’t work with the Touch.
Well you say BluEye works with the iPod touch… what about the 2nd generation running iPod Touch OS 2.2? This could work out well. Use my cell+iPod for incoming then use strictly my iPod for VOIP outgoing calls… can anybody confirm this configuration?
This works fine with the touch 3rd gen,but as said above no numbers on screen. Good luck finding one. Try eBay. Got one for $15.00!
