How to use Ipod Touch For IM (MSN Yahoo Aim Messenger)
So I know alot of you have been wondering how to use your Ipod Touch for Instant messenging, short IM. Many of you have been wondering if there is a hack for this, and Im sorry to inform you that there is not. But, there is a solution..
Launch up you safari and point it to www.meebo.com. Click on the service you like AIM, Yahoo, MSN and others. It’s as easy as that.
I’ve also tried out a couple of other similar services, but no one of them worked nearly as good as meebo.

I was wondering could anyone tell me how to Get the installer app on my Ipod touch that wont really Screw it up??
alec,
look up for ipodtouchmaster in you tube and you’ll find great tutorials on how to jailbreak and load apps to your ipod touch; follow them STEP BY STEP and it’ll be safe. did that with mine and now have a great looking/working pda-multimedia device instead of just an ipod touch…
cheers!
hey,
How do you get the safari to work on a ipod touch my just says sorry can not find server.
do you no what i do to get it to work it would be much apprecheated..
other than that it great
wow, this works great! do not go to http://www.ebuddy.com on your touch, because not only is it slow, but it does not allow you to scroll down in your conversation. (the conversation is not a page in itself, its a page in a page, if that makes sense)
hmmmm…..i just tried to IM someone, and it did not go through, it says Network Error: OCuld not IM buddy
why is this?
ok, i am just the queen of comments here, but i have figured out my problem.
after typing your message, you have to hit done, then SEND.

Actually they is another one that works alot better. Just go to google on your iPod and type in Jive Talk or BeeJive. It is the same thing and it was made for the iPod touch and iPhone.
Hello,
there is an other way to use those messangers on ipod touch…just visit http://iphone.beejive.com
Instead of installing the IM clients on the IPOD Touch, just log into Meebo, or sites like Yahoo’s where you can IM from the web instead of the client? You don’t have any problems with those.
here is another website you can go to using safari: http://www.ebuddy.com ITS SOO EASY! just select which one you want to go on like MSN or YMAIL or whatever and log in! you can also use m.msn.com and from that u can go on messenger and check your hotmail emails in your inbox and stuff. CHEAT: sign into messenger using m.msn.com on your ipod/iphone and than just open a new page and go to hotmail.com and u can access your own hotmail inbox!! (zooming may be required)
I use web messenger on my touch all the time but I was just wondering is there a version which allows you to view webcam

if i download the aim app using wifi, after i have the app installed, do i need the wireless connection anymore?

Hi Kenneth,
There are actually quite a few IM clients for the iPod Touch and the iPhone, most of which can be installed through Installer.app. If you go to touchdev.net you can find instructions on how to install lots of applications, including Apollo and MobileChat (both IM clients for several carriers,) really easily.
It took me a while to figure out, especially having to downgrade to 1.1.1, but you should be able to get it.
Have fun!
