iPhone OS 4.0 Software Features
Recently, Apple has sent an invite to top blogs Gizmodo and Engadget for a “sneak peek of the next gen of iPhone OS software”, to be held on 8th of this month, which surprised us all. Its been just two days since the launch of iPad, and Apple is already ready with one more big news for the future iPhone OS that will power the iPhone HD.
Now, if we take a tour of past events then we will get to know that why Apple is doing so, and the answer lies not in iPad but in iTunes AppStore. They released iPhone OS 3.0 beta much before to make sure that developers does not face any compatibility issues with the “real thing”. And it is necessary for Apple because iPhone OS is rated higher because of its app support, otherwise, Android will get there much before than expected.
Now coming back to the point that Apple can officially announce beta version of its next gen Phone OS, and because of this speculations about its features are going high. So we thought to give it a try as well. Here are our speculations of Features we can see in next gen iPhone OS:
- Multitasking.
- Universal Mailbox.
- Ability to save attachments.
- Ability to add individual contacts to iPhone’s home screen.
- Better UI.
- New Syncing abilities.
- Multi-touch gestures OS wide.
- 3G video capability.
- Introduction to some local file system, for better management.
- iChat support.
- Spell checker.
- Quick scroll.
- Better iPod songs management.
Even i don’t know what else, but the world is going crazy and some are even going blah blah about iPhone 4/HD and not just iPhone OS 4.0. Well, we do not have to wait for long, and soon we will get to know what Apple is up to this time around. However, what this hype did is that it created a lot of expectation about the new iPhone OS, which can be dangerous for Apple (remember what Vista did to Microsoft). No matter what, but i am eagerly waiting for this event. What about you?
