You need “iTunes” to sync data to your iPhone.

The Cydia on my LANCIPHONE is messed up..I don’t know why when i try upgrading things on it I get errors!..*ARGH*.pISSED OFF!.I just installed ULTRASNOW onto icy, but want to KNOW FOR SURE THAT’S IT UNLOCKED..?IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY BESIDES USING SIM CARDS TO CONFIRM THE UNLOCK?.

Hey, I downloaded Appsync 3.0 and it was downloaded cracked apps perfecly fine. One day my iphone went slow and i thought it was because of appsync. I uninstalled appsync. Now when i reinstalled it its not syncing anymore. Whenever I sync an cracked app it says it is not authorized for itunes or something like that. Please help me.

Hey can someone help me out I’m trying to upgrade my ipod touch 2.2.1 without loosing the data from my jailbreak apps or my cracked apps obviously I can’t sync the cracked apps and I’ve downloaded programs that are supposed to allow me to sync apps for 2.2.1 but they don’t work. At this point I’m frustraed to no end I’m sick of waiting for long downloads that dont work and youtube for me right now is “youseless” if someone can tell me if there is some way to back up my apps manually I would really appreciate it. and I don’t need any extra noob bull or bashing comments just help…

lol. mine is jailbroken ipod touch 1st gen, software 3.1 using itunes 9 to sync.
It works, though when i was syncing, my ipod doesnt show anything that its syncing, however my itunes does show.

This is a problem:

-I’ve installed AppSync
-Rebooted my device
-Installed one free app from the app store
-Connected to iTunes

Now how do I select the third party apps to drag an drop into the iTunes window? I know how to select general files, but where are the apps located, how do I view them to do this, and, if required, what special program must I install to do this?

Everyone seems to be having success; but there seems to be missing steps in the instructions that are given. HLP!

I have the same problem. I’ve installed Appsync but I don’t know where to put the IPA files in Itunes 9.

I also have the possibility to use SSH but I don’t know where to put the IPA files in the Iphone directory.

Find your ’special’ ipa-files somewhere.
Then, you just double click on an ipa-file on your PC that has iTunes. The applications are then in iTunes and you can sync them to your iphone (given the 4 steps that Matias did have been done correctly)

I just did what you said except for I selected AppSync for 3.1 and it worked perfect. I can now sync torrent apps using iTunes. Thanks!!! I am using FirmWare 3.1.2

My wifi is faulty.. where can i get the AppSync for OS3.0?
Currently running on firmware 3.0.1 (7A400) at iPhone 3G

I had AppSync 3.0 installed on my 2G/3.0.
Double click on the .ipa.
The app shows on the application in iTune.
But,…
The app would not sync into my iPhone???

One needs to jailbreak his or hers iphone by using blackran1 and connecting internet through wifi in the iphone clisck the blackran1 icon, downlaod cydia and snow at bottom to unclock your iphone

Installed Cydia and tried to add the source “http://cydia.hackulo.us” but when I tried to add, it didn’t let me.

Sorry but there is no way to get Cydia from downloading from the computer/website. Atleast not that I know of. Correct me if im wrong, but as far as I know, you need wifi.

In Cydia it tells me i have to reboot my Itouch after the installation.. its jailbroken.. does that mean i absolutely have to reboot (and jailbreak it again) or can i also respring it?

Also.. Will my already downloaded apps also sync with itunes or only the ones i downloaded after Appsync?

Had an ipod touch 3.1.2 software version. Had already jailbreak it but i can’t seem to transfer my old apps from my itunes folder in my pc to my ipod. all the apps are in inactive mode when i click my ipod thru itunes. i have some apps that i bought from itunes and i can’t seem to transfer it now to my ipod. what can i do? and how can i transfer some of my apps from my ipod to my comp? thanks.

@anubisallan i am also having the same problem. i jailbroke my itouch second gen, downloaded cydia and appsync 3.1, and restarted my itouch. when i plug it into my computer, it makes the noise saying someting just connected, but nothing shows up in either “my computer” or “itunes”
any suggestions?

i jailbroke my ipod touch 2.1.2 and now when i try to sync in itunes iget an error mssg “cannot find disk” but i un plug the re plug and tryed got a different error but the on onother attempt it work like a charm 500 apps sync that i download and droped into itune ….easy

I have an iphone 3G 3.1.2 with cracked and purchased apps thereon. I have installed Appsync 3.1.2 along with installous and repeated steps again and again that I have seen on the net. NO matter what I do the cracked programs never appear in itunes for selection and syncing or transferring. Am I missing something fundamental here?

I jailbreaked my iphone 3g met version 3.1.2 and that went good. But when I drag an app into itunes en want to sync this at the end of the sync iTunes is doing nothing and I have to reconnect my iphone.

1.when i do double click on my ipa file then itunes says:”could not be added because its not valid application”
2 i select “transfer purchases” i tunes says cant transfer You need to authorize this computer?

I managed to download app sync 3.1 on my jailbroken ipod 2g 3.1.3 but when I plug it into the com it states USB device has malfunctioned and windows does not recognise it. Did I do something wrong? I jailbroke the ipod with spirit. HELP PLEASE!!

this method doesnt work anymore on 3.1.3 ipod touch 3g spirit jailbreak, i cant install APPSYNC, the one will show up is APPSCENE which will ask you to go on PREMIUM (pay the apps)when you download apps from appstore & it wont show up any code.

I also used Sprit to JB my ipod touch. One option that worked for me is
before I install any application I downloaded via instolous, I will go to appstore, try to download something free and therefore insert my password.
Once done, then i will go back to instolous donwloads, and install them.
Now when I sync my ipod touch, most of the time it will stay.

This is surely not the smartest way, but just an workaround.

Also you need to authorize your computer before you do this. If you have run out of authorizations, log into itunes click on account and then delete all authorized computers

Thats because you can only sync to one computer.
If you do sync to it. It -should- backup the current files on the iPhone, and when its finished it will be able to install what you select to sync.

Whenever I connect my ipod touch to itunes this message comes up:
itunes has found purchased items on the ipod “zach’s ipod” that are not present in your iTunes library. Do you want to transfer these items from this iPod back to your iTunes library? If you do not transfer these purchased items to your iTunes library, they will be removed from the iPod.
When I click transfer it copies my non cracked apps but removes all my cracked apps. What do I do? I have 3.1.3 downloaded on my ipod touch, I have cydia, and the Appsync 3.1

whenever I plug my ipod into my laptop and the sync starts, it deletes the Apps I’ve gotten for free. How do I get it so that they don’t delete from my ipod?

Wow TYVM. I felt that my ipod was broken so i was going to restore it but then i would have lost 93 Jailbroken Apps TY BRAHH.

I jailbroke my Itouch, I tried to erase my data and settings manually on the Itouch without a computer. It said it would take 4 hours but it won’t end the process and I cannot connect it to a computer for a restore. What do I do?

Hi for those that are not yet aware there is a site http://www.jailbreakme.com that must be launched from you ipod or iphone its self to jailbreak and this installs cydia for you… its quite the awesome and simple way to do it. worked for me so just try it and let me know if you have any issues

I’ve installed 4.0.1 and jailbreaked it. Installed appsync 4.0 but everytime i try to sync with itunes, itunes removes all the (downloaded with installous on the phone) apps. Tried rebooting, reinstalling appsync and again but it doesn’t seem to work..

i have encountered the same issuse. After tat i then off my phone and turn it on again. Then the issuse is gone.

I have an Iphone 2G 3.1.3, Jailbroken with Cydia, and appsync installed, I can download apps from the appstore using WIFI ,syncing the Iphone works for everything but Apps using a Mac on Itunes, the screen appears to show the Apps on my Iphone, however when i disconnect they aren’t on the phone.
When I checked with Iphoneview they werent installed.

I have a recently jailbroken iPhone 3GS (Cydia - iOS 4.0.1). I noticed that when I try to use the iPod, I get a black screen with the white apple logo in the center with “Connected” and “OK to Disconnect” appearing at the bottom. Does jailbreaking your iPhone disable the iPod?

So like you said, if I back up my iPod Touch, then sync I will still have all my apps, music, and will the iPod Touch still be jailbroken, in the back up files?
